His gloved hand rests on a gilded cane more for show than support, while his curled mustache bristles at the mere thought of mingling with the lower classes. Chains of gold drape from his pocket watch, ticking in rhythm with the empire’s wealth—much of it built on the backs of those he dismisses with a sneer. Behind his polished shoes and polished words, though, lies a patronage of shady dealings and debts that stain the family crest he so proudly flaunts.
📜GM Hook: At a gala, the adventurers are introduced to a pompous noble whose disdain for them is matched only by his suspicious generosity. Is he a fool ripe for manipulation, or a calculating player in the city’s shadow games, using arrogance as his mask?
