Found in the darkest corners of the world, especially in ancient, cursed swamps or decaying forests, these shambling horrors are the result of powerful, dark forces corrupting nature itself. Their bodies are a tangle of vine-like tendrils, swamp moss, and decayed foliage that seems to pulse with an unnatural energy.
Though they move slowly, their great strength and resilience make them formidable adversaries. Once a peaceful creature of the wilds, the Shambler was twisted into its current form by forbidden necromantic magic or eldritch corruption. Now, it moves aimlessly through the woods and bogs, a silent stalker of the living, using its roots and tendrils to snare and drain the vitality of any who dare trespass into its territory.
