Despite their alien form, flumphs are benevolent beings—drawn to communities of adventurers as guardians, guides, or reluctant witnesses to psionic horrors that drive most mortals to madness. Their presence is both a blessing and a warning: where flumphs drift, greater aberrations are surely near.

GM Hook
The adventurers stumble across a lone Flumph deep in the caverns, its glow faint and flickering. It warns them of an encroaching psionic presence that gnaws at its mind—a colony of mind flayers expanding their reach. The flumph offers to guide the heroes, but its motives are not entirely clear. Is it truly a benevolent ally, or a desperate pawn being used by the very horrors it fears?
